Warriors 4 Broncos 3

The Broncos got out of the gates really slow while a determined Moose Jaw Warriors took advantage of some sloppy play to go up 4-0 early in the 2nd period.

The Broncos found their legs in the third period but it was too little, too late. Final score 4-3. Alex Sirard looked sharp in the Broncos goal after taking over for Austin Smith midway through the 2nd period with his team down 4-0.

Late Rally Not Enough for Broncos

The Moose Jaw Warriors held on to defeat the Swift Current Broncos 4-3 in exhibition action.

The Warriors scored two first period goals as Jakub Herman and Thomas Frazee scored. Moose Jaw outshot Swift Current 12-5.

In the second period, it much of the same as the Warriors continued their strong play scoring twice more as Corey Scott and Cody Smuk tallied and it was 4-0 Warriors before the second was 7 minutes old. The Broncos switched goaltenders midway through the middle frame as Alex Sirard replaced Austin Smith.

In the third period the Broncos came out with jump as Michael Hat, Dillon Wagner and Jordan Peddle all scored in the first 10 minutes but the Warriors held on as the Broncos were on the power-play late with the goalie pulled but couldn't equalize.

Final shots on goal were 31 for Moose Jaw and 18 fro Swift Current. The Broncos were 2-7 on the power-play, the Warriors were 1-5
