I was down at the rink this afternoon for some Shaw TV work... and all is quiet.
The guys were just getting ready for practice when I was there and in a light mood. They all want to know what's up or what's going on around the league.
As for the Broncos, not much to report. They have been interested spectators to this point.
From what I'm hearing around the league the asking price seems a bit steep at this point. The sellers just seeing where a team will bite.
The Eastern Conference said good-bye to Ryley Grantham today when Moose Jaw shipped him to Kelowna. If there is one player who came into this league and came a long ways it would be Grantham. Although, his reputation precedes him, and referees are quick to look in his direction.
Expect an increase in toughness in Kelowna no doubt, but you can talk on a few goaltender interference penalty kills the rest of the way.
Moose Jaw gets a warm body in return, so I think they did well.
More later......................
