Blazers 4 Spokane 3 - SO

The Blazers edge Spokane 4-3 in a shootout tonight after what was a lengthy delay following overtime. Net problems with the ice and the pegs forced the two teams to use the same net(Spokane's) for the shootout.

Jordan DePape scored a pair to give the Blazers a 2-0 lead in the 1st. The Chiefs played hard and battled back for a 3-2 third period lead. Dylan Willick was rewarded with the tying goal with 1:20 to go after playing a solid game.

The Chiefs had the overtime chances but couldn't end it. Brendan Ranford and Austin Madaisky scored in the shootout while Blake Gal and Tyler Johnson were denied by G Cam Lanigan.

More later, including the the Blazers "NHL 94" win celebration.....
