The Kamloops Blazers announced this afternoon that they have re-called 15-year-old forward Matthew Needham, 16-year-old forward Aspen Sterzer and 16-year-old goaltender Troy Trombley.
Needham, who was the Blazers 1st round pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam draft, made his debut with the hockey club on October 6th versus Spokane. He has been playing this season with the Okanagan Hockey Academy Prep Team and has scored 10 tallies, 13 assists and 23 points in 22 games.
Sterzer was listed by the Blazers in October 2009. The Canal Flats, BC native is playing with the EDGE Prep Team out of Calgary. He has put up 5 goals and 16 assists for 21 points in 19 games along with 30 penalty minutes this season.
Trombley was the Blazers 3rd round WHL Bantam pick in 2009. The 6’6” goaltender plays with the Midget AAA Fort Saskatchewan team. He was the back up for most of the exhibition season with the Blazers.
