It's been a busy day down at ISC so far between the two teams and media requests, team pictures, etc.
For the Blazers perspective, Chase Schaber will play alongside Brendan Ranford while Saskatoon Blades F Darian Dziurzynski will join them.
"It's going to be hard-working line, probably the hardest working of the team...the line also has over 40 goals so it has the potential to create offense," said Schaber after today's skate.
The game will be broadcast by Rogers Sportsnet (Rob Faulds, Sam Cosentino, Louis Jean) and we also have the action on NL beginning with our pre-game show at 6:30pm. Our pre-game guests include Guy Charron, Ryan Huska, Chase Schaber and a representative from the Russian team Alexander Shekin.
In the intermission, WHL Commissioner Ron Robison will pop by along with Team WHL Captain for the Prince George game tomorrow night Cody Eakin.
Should be a fun game. The Russians head into the game up 7-5 in points. The format is three points for a regulation win, two points for a shootout win and a single point for a shootout loss.
It means the Russians do have a nice advantage heading into the two game set. A shoot-out win by the Russians would at the very least clinch a tie in the six-game set.
Talk to you tonight.....
Jon
