Riders Game Could Affect Broncos Sked

With the Riders hosting a home playoff game Saturday afternoon in Regina, the Pats are hoping to make a change to Saturday night's contest against the Broncos at the Brandt Center.

The move makes sense from a Pats standpoint, they don't want to go head-to-head with the Riders start-time of 3:30pm and their night game set for 7pm.

The Pats want to make it a Sunday 6pm game instead but need the Broncos to agree in order to make the change.

For the Broncos, the potential move would be an inconvenience considering they play in Brandon Friday night and want to catch the Pats on the way home for the Saturday contest.

There should be some sort of a decision in the next couple of days.

I don't see any benifet for SC to move the day back. That is an extra 5 hrs of travel for the players, not to mention the extra cost of the added travel. SC is a small market team so unless Regina wants to subsidize the additional cost then i see no point from the Broncos end of moving it back a day.

Boo hoo. The Broncos have to constantly play on Rider nights and it hurts our attendence every time, but we don't try to adjust our schedule everytime there's a conflict. Why should we have to inconvenience our travel schedule just for them?

The Pats just had a 8 p.m. start vs Red Deer on Halloween. Why can't they do that again on Saturday night. The Rider game will be over by 6:45 gives people plenty of time to get to the game. Too bad so sad why should everything revolve around the Pats & Riders?

It sounds like it is a go for sunday in Regina. It does make a lot of sense for the Pats to change it. Money, fan support, not having to deal with the traffic of two events in the same block at the same time and so on. As for Swifty why don't they stay in Regina for the day and get some ice time I'm sure it could be arranged? I am also sure a lot of the players and fans would much rather get involved both the rider game and the w game.

Jon i think its bull, I planned on hitting the rider game & then heading over to catch the Bronco game. I hope the broncos stick to the Schedule. The hell with Brent Parker maybe losing a few dollars.
