Broncos Sign Two

Press Release

Swift Current Broncos General Manager and Head Coach Mark Lamb announced that the club has signed Dane Muench and Graeme Craig to WHL contracts.

Muench, 17 years old, is from Martensville Saskatchewan and played last season with the SJHL’s Battlefords Stars. Last season as a 16 year old rookie, he led the team in scoring with 20 goals and 34 points in 50 games. Muench was drafted by the Broncos in the 4th round 74th over-all in the 2007 Bantam draft.

Craig, from Red Deer, is 16 years old and played for the Red Deer Chiefs in Midget last season. He is a big defenseman at 6’4” and 215 pounds with some gifted offensive upside, tallying 26 points in 39 games last year. The Broncos selected Craig in the 2008 Bantam Draft, 64th over-all.

Head Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb is pleased to get these players signed.

“Both Dane and Graeme are very good players that will contribute in their own ways. Dane is a skilled, shifty, smart forward and Graeme is a big, solid, strong defenseman. We feel we have added some important components to our team up front and on the back end.”

With the signing of Craig and Muench, does that imply that they both will be on the 2009/2010 roster?
