Local News...

I was going to blog a story about the Kelowna Rockets new Assistant Coach but I can see my friend Regan in Kelowna beat me to it.

Learned on the golf course tonight that Danny Lambert has been hired as an Assistant Coach of the Kelowna Rockets.

Lambert is set to be honored next weekend along with his 1988-89 Bronco teammates as this year's Hall of Fame recipients.

Good hire by the Rockets.  The Swift Current-to-Kelowna pipeline continues with Lorne Frey as Director of Player Personnel, Ryan Cuthbert as another Assistant Coach and Regan Bartel as the team's radio broadcaster.

--------------------

Former Bronco Jeremy Williams has signed a contract with the Detroit Red Wings after spending the last five years in the the Toronto Maple Leafs organization.  That will be a tough line-up to crack but here's hoping he gets a chance.

----------------

No update on the next Broncos Head Coach/GM.... hopefully something by week's end.

Dallas Stars beat writer Mike Heika says that former Stars assistant coach (and local SC boy) Mark Lamb has been possibly speaking with the Broncos about the HC position.
