Day Around Regina...

Four of the team's staff hiked through downtown Regina and into the Cornwall Center in the early afternoon....

Some of us in Bronco jackets or track suits... and not a word spoken to us about the series. Just casually went about our business in the city's core.

Saw one fan in a Bronco jersey in the mall... it was the only reminisce there was actually a big series going on with a big game five tonight. Pats Fever? I can't sense it. Although the Brandt Center tonight will be jumping with fans from both sides.

Michael Wilson remains a game-time decision. He skated with the black aces this morning. So did Jesse Dudas. Dudas is trying to keep his conditioning even though he's out for the series.

Goaltending Consultant Kevin "Swanny" Swanson is roomed up with me. He's been a big part of Travis Yonkman's success this season. Yonks really takes in what Swanny has to say. Have you noticed a difference this season?

Rod Pedersen is reporting referees Pat Smith and Andy Thiessen have gotten tonight's assignment. Thiessen reffed game two, and wasn't tolerating any garbage. That's good news for the Broncos.

See you tonight,

Jon

Jon, this is a big city, not everyone is thinking Pat hockey. Not all of us are thugs and pimps and crack sellers. There are a lot of nice people here, that enjoy good things to, as much as you dont like to post stuff like that. And, if you would have went to the Press Box for lunch, you guys woulda got mauled, mega sports fans there, friend or foe, it would have been a positive position for you and the people you were with. I wish youd see Regina from the other side as well.

Excellent Post Bryan, I agree... I think Jon is a little scared here in the big city... He doesn't like to post any positives about this great city that we live in... Only negatives, he wants people to be afraid to venture to the big city... It's too bad, because he is making the small town folk think we have nothing here, but pimps, and crack Ho's...

God help us all

Not only from this thread, but many others as well. Last week you said in a blog that you had to become " Mike Hammer" during a domestic dispute in downtown Regina, its a big city, it happens. Do domestic disputes not happen in Swift? Maybe not so much in public, but they do. And the cornwall center, should half of the people there, bow to you, because you have sports perephanlia on? Not unless your Kent Austin does this happen, even Kent was missed by many. This isnt NY where A-Rod passes by, or Manny "Ram" in Boston. Mats Sundin in T O, shall i go on? Hey, we have the Fonz for a mayor, and countless other celebs walking the streets here. Its really not a bad city.

Reginians really need to get over themselves........ "this is the big city"............ You are far from a big city. Your claim to fame to to be a little fish in a tiny pond. There are over 100 metropolitan cities in the united states greater than 500k people. Add that to the 17 metropolitan areas larger than Regina and you get the idea.
