Fooling Around / Hunter's Light it Up

The Broncos had some fun entertaining the four and five year old Iniatation level Stars and Blue Jackets yesterday evening at the I-plex.

The two young teams recently sold the most tickets of a Broncos promotion and their reward was a game against the Broncos. It was tough to tell who was actually having more fun out there. The Broncos enjoyed it and had some laughs. Even Derek Claffey potted his first goal of the season.

"It feels good, I was busting across the ice and Doyle ripped it off the glass. I pretty much had a breakaway from the red line in, I saw the top corner and I went for it. It feels pretty good....first goal of the season," - Derek Claffey

Young Theo Schlamp was excited after scoring a goal for the Blue Jackets....

"It was really awesome, and was from a bad angle but really cool. My dad told me to go five-hole on Yonkman but he wasn't in the net."

Here's some pics,

A few of us headed down the TransCanada for some senior hockey in Gull Lake last night. The hometown Greyhounds were hosting the Hunter boys and the Shaunavon Badgers in game one of the best-of-five league championship.
As expected the Hunters were all over the ice. J.J. scored four times and Luke added a pair in a 7-2 win in the series opener for their hometown senior team. It was my first senior hockey game in years... it was great.
