Hey quick shout out to the Tribe.... the boys go after a third straight WMBL championship as they host game one of the championship series Friday night from the Mitch.... gett'er done fellas.
I stopped by practice tonight for some morning sports audio, they're a relaxed and quietly confident crew as they get set to lock it up with the Okotoks Dawgs (formerly the rival Calgary Dawgs). The boys even had the WMBL trophy in the dugout to remind themselves of what they're playing for. They have to turn it over to the league by the weekend... hopefully it'll be back in their possession early next week.
In Harv We Trust. Enough said.
The Eagle will broadcast games three and four (if necessary) from Okotoks Monday and Tuesday night, join Switzer for all the action.

I talked to Geordie Wudrick this morning....he's still in Calgary getting set for his departure overseas. They will be flying Friday/Saturday to the Czech Republic. I'll post his thoughts on here over the weekend. This is the most excited I've seen him, and for good reason. The kid has always said it would be a dream to play for his country and just putting on the uniform for the team picture was overwhelming. He says the team's motto is " On the hunt for gold". He says he'll play on a big-bodied line that will be expected to play a solid two-way game and shutdown the top scorers from the other international teams.

Swift Current's biggest party of the summer hits Saturday night... the annual Kinsmen/Kinette Street Dance smack dab in the middle of downtown Swifty. To say it's a blast would be an understatement... If you're in town be sure to make it down.
Have a great weekend,
Jon
