Weise Gets the Call...

Former Bronco forward Dale Weise will likely make his NHL debut Tuesday night after being called up by the New York Rangers.

The Rangers play the Buffalo Sabres Tuesday night. Weise has played in 147 games in the AHL over the last two seasons. This year he's scored 28 goals and added 21 assists along with 114 penalty minutes.

We will be watching...

It is a well deserved call up for Dale who clearly has been Hartford's MVP this season.

Our only question is what took them so long to make this move?

the kid is a horse. I remember watching practice in the playoffs two years ago and a certain Bronco goalie (you guess) was not trying in the net in a drill. Tim Kehler went over and talked to him and there wasn't a whole lot that changed. It kinda looked like Tim was just not going to get sucked into the whole thing as the team was flying pretty good at the time. After Kehler talked to him and he never improved, Weiss yelled at the certain large and enigmatic goalie and the guy in the net (who will remain anonymous lol) never got moving. Within a few seconds Weiss had rifled about three cannons at his head. Needless to say, the guy got moving and the once lazy goalie miraculously found his work ethic once again. Obviously a leader. Came to his coach's defence.
