AHL Team Bus Crashes, Three Injured

A bus crash involving the AHL's Albany River Rats has left three people with serious injuries, Massachusetts State Police said on Thursday.


The bus rolled on its side while travelling westbound on Interstate 90 at around 3:35 a.m. on Thursday, Sgt. David Mahan said.


Three people were taken to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield with what Mahan described as "serious" injuries. No names were released.


There are 17 Canadians currently on the Albany roster from all parts of the country, along with head coach and GM Jeff Daniels, who was born in Oshawa, Ont., and assistant coach Geordie Kinnear, born in Simcoe, Ont.
