Press Release

Broncos’ Season Ticket Holders Get First Chance at World Junior Tickets

The 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship will take place from late December 2009 to early January 2010 (exact dates to be determined) in Saskatoon at the Credit Union Centre and the Brandt Centre in Regina.

Ticket information, ticket prices and the process for obtaining tickets for the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship will be launched and made available on a priority basis later this summer, with first rights going to WHL season ticket holders in Saskatchewan (Swift Current Broncos, Regina Pats, Saskatoon Blades, Prince Albert Raiders, Moose Jaw Warriors).

These season ticket holders will be contacted directly with information on the ticket process.

It is the first time since 1991 that Saskatchewan has hosted the World Juniors.

Hey Jonny: can't wait for the 2010 tourny. A buddy of mine and me are going to get bronco season tickets so we can have first dibs on tickets for this. I was at the last world juniors in Saskatoon in 1991. Spent a week in Saskatoon pounding beer and watching world class hockey, it was great even though the temperature never got above -30 once. Still remember John Slaney scoring the winner late in the third period against the Russians to give us the 3-2 win and secure the gold medal. Sask. Place as it was called back then went crazy. I'll be there in 2010 too.
