Gameday Number Crunching

The Broncos will attempt to snap a five-game home ice losing skid tonight when they welcome the Calgary Hitmen to the Credit Union i-plex. 7:30pm face-off.

The Broncos are enduring one of their toughest home-ice stretches in awhile. Their longest home ice skid in recent memory was late in the 06/07 season when they dropped six in a row.

The Broncos have given up 24 goals in the last four home games - an average of six a game.

The Hitmen feature the league's best powerplay at 28.0% and the best penalty kill at 85.8%. On the flip side the Broncos powerplay is clicking at 7.4% in the last five games a 2/27 slump.

The Hitmen have won four of their last five entering tonight's contest and are coming off a 3-0 win over Tri-City Sunday at the Saddledome.

Taylor Vause has been hot for the Broncos, he's scored goals in each of his last three games. Cody Eakin. Eakin has also scored in each of the last three games for a league-leading 37 goals.

The Broncos are 2-7 on Wednesday's this season.

----------

This is the start of 13 games in the next 25 days for the Broncos who have a hellish month of February in front of them. Of the 13 games, eight are at home and five are on the road.

We're on the air at 7pm with tonight's pre-game show on the Eagle 94.1 FM

If the Bronco's want any chance at the playoffs they will have to start by winning tonight. It's a busy Wednesday and hopefully they can also get some help from other teams tonight as well. If they can win tonight, the next game against P.A will be HUGE.

Keep up the good work Keener.

It's all about the jerseys. Our winning percentage in black has to be around .700 while we have like what? 6 wins this year while wearing whie.

Hmm,

The play on the road has improved in the black though.

Yeah, so they should try and wear black jerseys all the time. What the heck, get the crowd to wear all black too.
