Smith Tearing up the "A"

Former Broncos captain Zack Smith continues to rip up the American Hockey league with the Binghamton Senators

Last night Zack scored the tying goal against Albany with 3:33 to go in the third period and then went on to score the overtime winner as the baby 'Sens went on to the 4-3 come-from-behind overtime win. Smith captured the game's first star for the 2nd game in a row.

He's now scored five goals in five games and his 18th in league scoring with six points. Pretty good for a checking centermen eh?

Great to see Zack doing so well in his first year of pro hockey. Here's hoping for an NHL call-up before Christmas.

Thanks to MB for keeping me in the loop....

Here's some other numbers worth noting on the most recent Broncos graduates. Dale Wiese has collected a goal and an assist in five games with the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL. Levi Nelson has one assist in three games with the Providence Bruins. Michael Wilson has picked up one assist in four games with the Worcester Sharks in the AHL.

I had a chat with Broncos graduate Erik Felde yesterday. He's back home in Anchorage, Alaska playing with the Aces of the ECHL. Listen for that interview coming up tomorrow night in our pre-game show.

Ed is back...great.

Not sure what stats you're looking at but Zack has now played in seven games scoring five goals and adding an assist.

Zack Smith, don't get confused with the other Smiths in the league.

Thanks for your contribution
