Dane Crowley has been traded. Confirmed. He's off to the Everett Silvertips. There's more to this trade. More later.
Also, Swift Current native and former 1st round bantam pick Craig Cuthbert was traded from Kelowna to the Saskatoon Blades for a 4th round bantam selection.

Wow I did not see that one coming, but great trade. Talk about having a solid core of 17 year old defensmen. And he is playing in the prospects game. Some are thinking we are losing some toughness but in the games I have seen Crowley was not playing the same way this year over last year so i think this is great for us now and in the future.
Joel, Joel, CROW was a tough guy out there! He hit a lot of guys, that's for sure, not to mention that he was an awesome guy in the room and around town. I don't comment until about two weeks have passed, but I will say this: I don't know anything about Eric Doyle. He better be good this season, for what we gave up. For the next few seasons, it's a hell of a trade. We have to see if there'll be immediate results. Hopefully he can QB the PP with Paul Postma or Mike Wilson. I know giving up Crowley is very tough...but I have a good feeling about this kid. And so far since he's been here, I certainly have never seen Dean make a useless trade......I'm sure this trade has a lot behind it. I think Deano probably knew what he was doing.
As for CROW, he's going to, without a doubt, the best team in the league. What a chance for him! I'm almost sure he will not be back in the dub next year. There's another reason why he might have traded him. Anyway, the result remains to be seen....
hold on Ernie all I'm saying is some people are saying we gave up a lot of Grit and for a player like Doyle im willing to give it up. I should have worded it differently because I loved Crowley and wish him all the best.
